(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, April 3 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will be joined by Chief of Police Pamela A. Smith to highlight continued reductions in violent crime, which is down 26% year-to-date. Mayor Bowser and her public safety team will also discuss a new initiative focused on addressing juvenile related crime. The announcement will be followed by a community safety walk in the Navy Yard neighborhood.
