(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser is inviting residents to join her at the annual Budget Engagement Forums. For the eleventh year in a row, the forums will give residents the opportunity to share their values and priorities with the Mayor before she sends her Fiscal Year 2026 budget to the Council of the District of Columbia.
The first budget engagement forum, a Senior TeleTownhall, will be held on Monday, February 24. Two citywide budget engagement forums will follow: one at Rosedale Recreation Center on Thursday, February 27 and another at Kennedy Recreation Center on Saturday, March 1.
During the forums, residents will receive an overview of the current budget environment, hear from other residents about their priorities, and participate in small group discussions about how the Mayor should allocate funds.
Since launching the Budget Engagement Forums in 2015, Mayor Bowser has incorporated public feedback to make key budget decisions. The three upcoming budget forums will give residents the opportunity to submit their budget priorities for FY26 and learn more about the budget process.
