(Washington, DC) – On Monday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m., Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Department of Employment Services (DOES) will kick off the 2025 Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP) at ARTECHOUSE. At the launch, the Mayor will highlight a new “Pathways to Finance” program which will provide young people exposure to financial fields such as accounting, economics, international finance, and risk management. The Mayor will also highlight the Career Ready Early Scholars Program (CRESP), which provides youth ages 9 to 13 the opportunity to learn about college and career pathways.
Now in its 46th year, MBSYEP will offer 12,000 District youth the opportunity to gain valuable career experience and workforce training – while getting paid – through partnerships with over 700 host employers across the city.
Applications for MBSYEP and CRESP will open at noon on Monday on summerjobs.dc.gov.
