Mayor Bowser to Launch 3 Clean City Initiatives at #TrashFreeDC Citywide Cleanup

Friday, April 20, 2018

(Washington, DC) – On Saturday, April 21, at 10:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will continue to celebrate #EarthWeekDC with the #TrashFreeDC Citywide Cleanup and the launch of three new initiatives geared towards keeping the District litter and waste free including Adopt Your City, Better Access to Supplies, and Pet Waste Outreach Campaign. Mayor Bowser will also reveal new improvements to the Adopt a Block program.

Mayor Bowser’s Citywide Cleanup is the rallying call to all DC residents to get outside and work together to keep our city clean, safe, and healthy. Through events and personal actions, residents across the city will pick up trash in the places they care about—their homes, their neighborhoods, their parks, their rivers and more.

Mayor Bowser has declared this #EarthWeekDC by launching a series of events that celebrate Earth Day as well as highlight her Administration’s progress in making DC the healthiest, greenest, and most livable city in the United States.
