Mayor Bowser to Celebrate #FightFor15 Minimum Wage Bill Signing

On Monday, June 27 at 6 pm Mayor Muriel Bowser will sign into law legislation to raise the District’s minimum wage, giving more Washingtonians a fair shot. The Mayor will be joined by District officials and community members.
 
In Mayor Bowser’s State of the District Address this year, she promised to send legislation to the DC Council to increase the District’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2020. On Tuesday, June 21, 2016 the DC Council voted unanimously to pass the B21-712, the Fair Shot Minimum Wage Amendment Act of 2016.
