Bowser Administration to Highlight Maternal Health Investments in Celebration of Black Maternal Health Week 2022

(Washington, DC) On Thursday, April 14, at 11 am, Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, Director of DC Health and Jennifer Porter, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Policy and Initiatives will highlight an array of free services and programs available to new and expectant mothers in the District.  

Mayor Bowser’s Fiscal Year 2023 Fair Shot Budget invests more than $3.4 million for maternal health programs and the ongoing work of perinatal health and education in the District. At this event, Bowser Administration officials will preview the new Mamatoto Village located in Ward 7.
