At 11:30 am Friday, Jan. 11, US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will make a funding announcement that will help the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and other transit agencies and organizations across the country train a future generation of transit professionals, including students at the Booker T. Washington Public Charter School for Technical Arts in Northwest Washington.
