Mayor Vincent C. Gray to Release Department of Health’s 2011 HIV/AIDS, STDs, Hepatitis and TB Annual Report

WHAT/WHO:              Mayor Vincent C. Gray and District Health Officials will release the DC Department of Health’s 2011 HIV Annual Epidemiology Report and other data as well as recommendations for physicians treating HIV patients.

BACKGROUND:           This is the Department of Health’s fifth annual HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Report. The department will also release a supplemental health study on heterosexuals in the District.  Both reports cite important advances in several key areas to help reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the District.
