In the morning, Mayor Bowser will host the first-ever “Path to Zero Waste” summit at the University of the District of Columbia. The summit is part of the Mayor’s agenda to move the city towards zero waste, save residents money, and create more pathways to the middle class. Following the summit, Mayor Bowser will deliver remarks at the groundbreaking of the Brightwood Portfolio affordable housing project. In the evening, Mayor Bowser will attend Sasha Bruce Youthwork’s Benefit Concert. The concert celebrates the organization’s 40 years of serving at-risk youth and their families.
